German Quiz Night: 27 November 2025 – The Bell Inn, Chichester
The Friends of Speyer’s first ever German Quiz Night was a great success with 30 members participating. It was a great opportunity to stir the old grey cells, get to know each other better and enjoy some pub grub and a pint or two. Hosted by David Elliott (Quizmeister) and Liz Elliott (organizer), there were three rounds of questions covering Germany-related history, geography, politics, culture, sport and science.
The final scores were very close with only 11 points separating all the teams, but the hamper of German food and drink was won by the team calling itself, ironically, ‘Hopp Schwiiz!’ (‘Go Switzerland!’). We aim to do it all again in May 2026.
